Our Story

I'm Rich - the proud host of Loon's Nest. I'm an avid fisherman with a lifelong passion for the Adirondacks. I've spent countless hours fishing on lakes throughout the region for the better part of my life - a tradition I now share with my sons.

For years, Iā€™d drive past this very property on my way to those favorite fishing spots, dreaming of having my own place in this beautiful park.

That dream became a reality, after one Sunday morning, I suddenly stumbled upon the listing and discovered it was for sale ā€“ it had been on the market for less than an hour.

The process moved quickly, and in the summer of 2024, it became Loon's Nest.

Owning a piece of this beautiful park has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so happy to share Loon's Nest with our guests.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Centrally Located, Uniquely Adirondack

The best part of Loon's Nest is its unbeatable location. Just steps from the Northville-Placid Trail South Trailhead, and minutes from downtown Long Lake, access to the NYS C7B snowmobile trail, and the public boat launch, it's the perfect basecamp for exploring the Adirondacks.

Explore Buttermilk Falls, fish on Tupper, Forked, or Eaton Lakes, or cruise Long Lake by boat. Climb the Buck Mountain fire tower for stunning views, or explore the shops and restaurants of Long Lake.

Nearby, you'll also find the Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake, and the Wild Center in Tupper Lake offering fascinating insights into the region's natural and cultural history. And for a truly unique experience, take a scenic seaplane ride directly from Long Lake for a bird's-eye view of the majestic Adirondack landscape.
